Hukatere Lodge offers eco-accommodation for up to 12 guests in an idyllic location on the secluded west coast of the Aupouri Peninsula in the Far North of New Zealand. We are completely self-sufficient for power and water, making the least possible impact on our outstanding natural environment.Right on Ninety Mile Beach, alongside the extensive Aupouri Forest and convenient for sightseeing to Cape Reinga, there are numerous walks and activities nearby. Simply walking around our large property, with our own horses, will keep you occupied.We are on the Te Araroa Tramping and Hiking Trail which passes along Ninety Mile Beach and are a convenient overnight stop between The Bluff and Waipapakauri.We offer rental of the complete lodge, particularly attractive to walking/trekking and ladies' groups, or bed and breakfast accommodation for individuals and couples. We have a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering.We provide a beautiful scenery for a wedding and other special occasions.We also have the Hukatere Camping Ground for tents and spacious parking for campervans, low-budget backpacker accommodation and stabling for horses.
